Installation of Do It Yourself Closet Organizers

Tons of people realize that that cant find what they want when in a hurry for a meeting or gathering that only means that they are not organized enough and their closet organizer is in a great mess right now. I can tell you right now that with just a little planning you can renovate your closet to be able to properly store your items in a very organized manner.

So how do you get organized? It is not a big secret after all, the secret is to get yourself a closet organizer and install them with the installation manual given, thats all you need to do, and its not rocket science.

Firstly, go ahead right now and discard your old closet organizer to change to a new one instead. Also get rid of all old and unwanted items in your current closet, a good chance for you to do a little spring cleaning too. It makes restoring of objects very much easier in the future, if you even throw away old shelves, rods and doors.

Secondly, after removing the old one, there will definitely be holes on the wall left behind and you will need to remove it. All you need is just some spackling compound and a putty knife to fill those holes up which those old organizers left behind. Then allow the compound to dry thoroughly, thereafter sand them smooth and then apply a thin coat of paint over it to have a better wall protection.

Thirdly, mark on the wall of the position you want your closet organizer to be set up. You will need to measure 2 inches from the ceiling and then also marking a level line on the position you want to mount the closet hanging tracks. All these are done for the drilling process.

Fourthly, after you had marked out the area or the new position, you can then start the drilling of holes to mount the hanging tracks. One of the most important steps to take is mounting the closet hanging tracks, if not you are unable to hang your clothes in the closet organizers. Another thing to take note is that if you realize that the hanging tracks is taking on too much weight, you must narrow down the spacing between them to make the hanging tracks stronger and able to withstand more weight without giving you problems.

Fifthly, you will need to install the shelves. It is a must to start the installation from the bottom up. Decide on the location you want flanked by the floor and the bottom of the shelf and carry out the setting up of the shelves at different gap and take into consideration what you intend to store in your closet organizer.

Lastly, in order to finish the job, you will need to mount the closet organizer with a hanging rod. Once you get all your shelves in place where you want them, you can snap in the hanger supports and install the rod. To further strengthen the closet, mount the hanging tracks in front of a wall stud. If possible, reinforce the tracks with toggle bolts. There you have it, the complete short crash course for getting your new DIY closet organizer up to improve your life and be more organized.
