A Casino Themed Room: The Best Bet

0

If you love the thrill you get from gambling or just being in a casino, why not bring Las Vegas back with you from your vacation, and have that electric Vegas feeling all year round. All you need is to decorate your living room, home office or game room into a casino themed room. Here's how you can do this.

A room will be brimming with life with a mini Las Vegas look. For a reasonable budget, you can have your own casino haven. It can be a classic early 1900's look that reminds you of swanky suits, tobaccos, evening gowns and coiffed hair. The Godfather just suddenly crossed my mind. How about a more modern take? Take your cue from the setting of Ocean Eleven and Casino Royale. Perhaps, be more specific and use Italian extravagance of the Bellagio or the trendy Caesar's Palace.

What's a casino without the famous poker game? Make use of poker chips in accessorizing the room. Stick them on candleholders, arrange them creatively on tables, garnish photo frames with these red chips, and so on.

Decorate with casino equipment like a slot machine, poker table, blackjack board and such. If there's enough space, you can have a mini bar for some drinks for a good break from your intense poker and card games.

Cards make great game items, but if you use them as decors, they actually make interesting pieces. Display all sorts of shapes and colors and you'll surely get compliments for your creativity. Casino-related or Las Vegas located movie posters are also great additions. For a more polished look, frame them and they'll be wall ready. Examples are: Casino Royale, What Happens in Vegas, Las Vegas (the series), Ocean Eleven and the classic Martin Scorsese masterpiece, Casino.

As for the color, go for a dark shade. Black, purple and dark blue are top choices. Casinos have a dim look, so try to achieve this look for a more realistic take on the design.

A richly colored area rug like in red or maroon will be a definite standout. Have a rug cushion your poker table. If there's a sofa set, throw in an area rug too for a more coordinated look. The vivid color of the area rugs will brighten up the dark Vegas room.

Birthdays and play days will be more fun in a casino-themed room. Now, you don't need to book a flight to Las Vegas and spend all your fortune. Stay right at home and have as much fun as if you're in the City of Lights without the hassle and expenses.

Keep up with current Home Design styles and enhance your home with a rug from the Rhody Rug Inc Pilgrim Collection.

When you think casino, the name poker pops up. A casino would not be a casino without the card games. Accentuate your accessories with poker chips which are versatile and can be added onto say your wooden candle holders with just some spray paint or a hot glue gun. You may also stick on some red poker chips onto the corners of a wooden photo frame.

Decorate with casino equipment like a slot machine, poker table, blackjack board and such. If there's enough space, you can have a mini bar for some drinks for a good break from your intense poker and card games.

Your game room, living room or basement will never be the same. It will be an instant favorite. Just expect more visitors calling in on you...even in the dead of the night for some fun gambling. Take it easy, okay?

Fun Decor – A Casino Theme

If you love the thrill you get from gambling or just being in a casino, why not bring Las Vegas back with you from your vacation, and have that electric Vegas feeling all year round. All you need is to decorate your living room, home office or game room into a casino themed room. Here's how you can do this.

A casino themed room will not need expensive decor, and will also add a lot of space for customizing the room to your personal style. Remember there are various sub-themes to a casino themed room. You may opt for a more classic 1940's Vegas style, the more modern Vegas decor or borrow from specific well-known casinos such as the Luxor for and Egyptian theme, the Bellagio for an Italian theme and Caesar's Palace for a feel of ancient Greece.

What's a casino without the famous poker game? Make use of poker chips in accessorizing the room. Stick them on candleholders, arrange them creatively on tables, garnish photo frames with these red chips, and so on.

Visit online auction websites and antique stores for great finds such as vintage game boards and wheels. A poker table in your casino themed room will complete the feel you are going for. You may use this as an entertainment centre or desk. For your wall art, mount a blackjack board or baccarat onto the wall using anchor hooks.

Paint the walls a dark color. Casinos have dim lighting for more drama. Don't make it dingy, but just right for an impression of playing in the wee hours of the night instead of hanging with friends in the afternoon. Black is a color choice. However, if you find this too extreme, opt for violet, purple or dark blue. Don't forget to paint the ceiling too.

A richly colored area rug like in red or maroon will be a definite standout. Have a rug cushion your poker table. If there's a sofa set, throw in an area rug too for a more coordinated look. The vivid color of the area rugs will brighten up the dark Vegas room.

You may also have your temporary casino themed room for say a gambler's birthday party using some of the ideas above. With a casino themed room right in your own home, you get to enjoy the adrenaline rush that you can only get when in Atlantic City, Reno or Vegas, whenever you like.

Keep up with current Home Decorating styles and enhance your home with a rug from the Rhody Rug Pilgrim Braided Rug Collection.

Fun Decor – A Casino Theme

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Intriguing huh? Who says you have to travel all the way to the Sin City to have a good time? Did you know that you could bring Las Vegas with all its thrills to your home? Decorate your living room, basement or game room with a casino/Las Vegas theme and you'll be headbanging with fun 365 days in a year.

Poker is an absolute must! Maximize the use of poker chips not just with your games but with the decors as well. You can glue them on frames, walls, furnishings, etc. The more colorful, the better.

Examples are: Casino Royale, What Happens in Vegas, Las Vegas (the series), Ocean Eleven and the classic Martin Scorsese masterpiece, Casino.

For your walls, black might be the safest bet. This is because casinos normally tend to be dark. Plus using black gives that feeling of night time even during the day. If you feel that black is too extreme, go for an easier dark blue or purple for your walls and ceiling.

A richly colored area rug like in red or maroon will be a definite standout. Have a rug cushion your poker table. If there's a sofa set, throw in an area rug too for a more coordinated look. The vivid color of the area rugs will brighten up the dark Vegas room.

Your game room, living room or basement will never be the same. It will be an instant favorite. Just expect more visitors calling in on you...even in the dead of the night for some fun gambling. Take it easy, okay?
